Imagined Futures E-news provides updates of projects and initiatives of Imagined Futures working groups and partner agencies in our region.

Imagined Futures has had a busy few months delivering a number of projects across our working groups, such as the launch of the  Fremantle Zero project prospectus developed through our Homelessness and Housing Group, the 7th Cultural Connections event for Aboriginal Children in Care to connect to family, culture and community supported through our Children and Young People working group and Burnout and Self-Care training, initiated by the Open Door Community of Practice, to provide strategies and tools for frontline workers to better support themselves and continue to be there for the people they support in our community.

These initiatives are examples of how Imagined Futures partners work together to implement community-led solutions and demonstrate the power of place-based collective impact. More Imagined Futures updates are below.

Kambarang Cultural Connections 2024

The Connecting Aboriginal Children in Care project creates invaluable opportunities for children in care to build and maintain relationships with their families, culture, and community. While attending a single event offers benefits, it’s the repeated participation over time that truly deepens these connections and amplifies the positive outcomes. The latest event – Kambarang Connections Day – saw the highest attendance of children and family members/carers yet.
